Executive Council - Gujarat National Law University

The Executive Council has powers of appointment of persons to various positions in the University, to regulate terms and conditions of service in the employment of the University, to manage and regulate the finances, assets and liabilities of the University and so on. Members of the Council include the Director (who is the Chairman of the Council), a Visitor's Nominee (a Judge of the Supreme Court of India who is a member of the General Council), an academic member of General Council who is also nominated as a member of the Executive Council by CJI, the Chief Secretary to the Government of Gujarat and Secretaries of the Government of Gujarat for Law, Finance and Higher Education, and also Professors / Associate Professors of the University nominated by the Director.
