2nd Five-Day Police Training Programme for Gujarat State Police Officer by GNLU and BPR&D (21-25 April 2010):

The 2nd Five-Day Police Training Programme organized by Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar, to impart training to the State Police Officers of the rank of Deputy Superintendents of Police to SHOs/Inspectors of Police on ‘Latest Rulings with Regard to Criminal Laws’ from 21st April to 25th April 2010 saw the participation of 36 PI/PSI from various districts/units of Gujarat.

This training programme comprised 15 sessions, wherein Special Judge-CBI Court, Bela Trivedi, Retd. Sessions Court Judge B.N. Jani, Prof. H.C. Dholakia, Prof. N.K. Pathak, Dr. K.C. Rawal, Dr. Dilip Mevada, Dr. Purvi Pokhariyal, Dr. Kiran Gardner, Adv. Shailaja Pillai and others discussed the latest Supreme Court rulings and delivered lectures on topics based on the various themes provided as a guideline for the programme by the Bureau of Police Research & Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. 

At the conclusion of the programme, Mr Anant Deogaonkar and Ms Soma Battacharjya, the Coordinator of the programme, distributed Certificate of Participation to the PI/PSI for participating in the training programme.
