Dance Club

Fulfilling the twin objectives of encouraging versatile talent in the field of Dance and giving students an opportunity to exhibit their talent, the Dance Club has dominated the sphere of cultural activities in the University. The Club provides a platform for interested performers to group together and practice. The members of the Club regularly perform during the Foundation Day in July each year and compete against each other during the Cultural Fest- Pentagram. The Club has organized Dance Classes in Salsa, Jive and Hip-hop with the support of Spin Academy, Ahmedabad. The members of the Dance Club are reconstituted at the beginning of every academic year. 

In the past two years, the Dance Club has given several exhilarating and successful performances. A major achievement was an enthralling classical dance performance before eminent dignitaries of the Gujarat High Court for its Republic Day Celebrations in 2009. The dignitaries included the Chief Justice and the Registrar of the Gujarat High Court. Also, the Dance Club has encouraged student participation in several competitions and fests such as the DA-IICT Cultural Fest- Synapse, where the dancers came second, and the IIM Ahmedabad Cultural fest in which the dancers came third among several other teams which posed as fierce competitors.
